Recovery involves the development of new meaning and purpose in one’s life as one grows beyond the catastrophic effects of mental illness” (Anthony 1993 p.21)

Michael is a Recovery and Engagement Programme Lead, a part-time lecturer, and a researcher with a particular interest in mental health, recovery, co-production, and peer-led initiatives. Michael’s work is based on his own lived experiences of mental health difficulties and recovery. He is an advocate for mental health and wellbeing, with over 7 years of experience working in mental health.
